Insight into character comes from listening intently to the spoken word. The physical person, their charisma, charm and dramatic flair is more often used to persuade audiences, as they use these tools of disguise and deception.
Be wise, often times an offended heart is the breeding ground of deception. Deception is all around us from Fake News, to deceptive friends and even leaders in politics, ministry, business, Hollywood, etc... etc... The best way in the world to deceive believers is to cloak a message in religious language and declare that it conveys some new insight from God, when it is total falsehood and away from the True message. Many leaders gain their popularity by wrapping themselves in God as Sheep, but are really wolves who have come to destroy.
The queen in Snow White is Snow White's evil and vindictive stepmother who is obsessed with being "the fairest in the land." The beautiful young princess Snow White evokes the queen's sense of envy, so the queen designs a number of plans to kill Snow White through the use of witchcraft. A driving force in the story is the queen's magic mirror. In the traditional resolution of the story, the queen is grotesquely executed for her crimes. The tale is meant as a lesson for young children warning them against narcissism, pride and deception. The beautiful queen who is a witch becomes an ugly, helpless old woman who is crying out for help and Snow White opens the door to her, falling to the queen's deception and later eating the apple which causes Snow White to fall to her death. It is pretty clear that the queen used deception to win Snow White's heart and affection. How many times has the devil done that in your life with people who seem helpless, sweet, innocent, lovable and kind? Perhaps even attractive like an angel of beauty, but once the mask is off, you find out that they really came into your life with a web of deceit to take you down. Believe it or not, the devil hate you and assign people to take you down just like in the story of Snow White. Be careful because once you let them in, it will be the fight of your life. I speak from experience. I am a trusting person, who loves to love and to be loved, but it has cost me time and time again. It has nearly killed me a few times.
People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they are deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don't believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. While their hatred may be concealed by trickery, their wrong doing will be exposed in public. (Proverbs 26:24-26, NLT2)
Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor, but in his heart he sets a trap for him. (Jeremiah 9:8, NIV)
Words to live by... Pray for discernment against deception. See through a person and don't just trust everything they say. Ask God for clear vision and be wise who you let in your heart and circle. Once they take a foothold in your life, they can take a stronghold and it can destroy you in every way. Much love to you all and please be wise in building relationships and friendships.
