Spiritual Tantrums

There are many who have substituted the Covenant with God for a contractual relationship.  “God, if you do this for me, THEN I will do this.”  We turn covenant into a contract because of mistrust and/or a lack of complete surrender.  He gave us His everything in the form of His only Son, we are expected to reciprocate in like kind, even it means our only child. “Our only whatever” it is that we hold on to and won’t let go of.  We need to nail it to the cross of sweet surrender.     Just stop the spiritual tantrums.  There is only mental and emotional chaos in self-willingness.  God, gave up His throne, His kingdom, His Heavenly power, and His Honor in exchange for ours.  He laid down His life to empower us to lay down our lives.
